John Lynch, MSW, LCSW, MDiv

Thanks for reaching out!

Choosing the right therapist isn't always easy and I appreciate you reaching out. My name is John Lynch and I've provided professional counseling services for Arizona and Oregon residents for over 15 years. During that time, I've been fortunate to help individuals, couples, and families, from a variety of backgrounds, address a wide range of concerns, including: relationship struggles, anxiety and stress, PTSD, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, anger and impulsivity, ADHD, addiction, parenting and foster-adoption issues, and more. These days, in addition to providing general mental health services, I specialize in working with adults to address relationship concerns, anxiety, acute and complex trauma, men's issues, and identity challenges (gender, sexual orientation, cultural and spiritual identity, etc.).

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapy style is relational and client centered with a holistic view of health and wellness. I believe you are the expert of your own experience and that you have unique strengths that can help you overcome the challenges you're facing. I'm here to help by bringing my best clinical skill and authentic personhood to every appointment and offering free, between-session, SMS/text support.

What you can expect

The first few sessions are about getting to know each other, clarifying your concerns and goals, and making a plan that you feel good about. After that, sessions are opportunities for you to feel safe, seen, and supported while engaging in progressive experiences of discovery, healing, and growth. In each session I'll help you identify what you'd like to focus on and collaborate with you in selecting specific interventions that might be helpful, Finally, I'll always ensure that we move at a pace that works for you throughout your therapy experience.
